Robert Louis Haithcock passed away on July 1, 2015. He was born to Taft and Beatrice Haithcock in Lawton OK on September 27, 1943. Robert was a wonderful person who was full of life. He leaves behind many friends and family members who will miss him. He is survived by his brother and sister in law Richard and Susan Haithcock, nephews Steven and Jeffrey Haithcock and niece, Laura Haithcock. Robert grew up in Lawton OK. He graduated from Lawton High School, Cameron College and Oklahoma State University. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and was famous for wearing the school color, Orange.

Robert was an officer in the US Army Artillery and served in Vietnam and could still fit into his uniform. Robert retired from the State of Texas in 2006. He was an avid tennis player and sports enthusiast. He was famous among his friends for knowing the most obscure sports trivia. He loved to attend OSU football and basketball games when possible and was a frequent attendee of the Big 8 and Big 12 basketball tournament in Kansas City with old friends.

He was a loyal volunteer at Houston Methodist Hospital - Sugar Land where he was honored as Volunteer of the year.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 4:30 – 5:30 PM at Houston Methodist Hospital – Sugar Land, 16655 Southwest Freeway, Main Pavilion Conference Center, Sugar Land, TX 77479, phone 281 274 7164.
