Dental care experts sought

Volunteer dentists, dental hygienists, registered dental assistants and dental laboratories are all needed to provide free dental clinic services to underserved population.

Deliver good cheer

Lunch and good cheer are what you’ll be delivering when you become a driver for a northwest Houston-area faith-based social service agency. Volunteers will pick up and deliver hot meals (or frozen meals/groceries) to the homebound elderly and disabled.

Provide shelter to kids

Volunteers are needed to help shelter children while their mothers are at work or in class. This might also include structured activities, nurturing, basic education (such as reading to the children), field trips or other tasks as needed.

More opportunities

• We are seeking volunteer accountant and lawyers for advisement purposes.

• Volunteers are needed to field calls from women on matters such as domestic abuse, rape and economic hardship.

• A dump truck operator and truck are needed to transport garden soil and sand to our garden site.

• Currently we are in need of volunteers to orient visitors, share garden information and etiquette, greet visiting groups, establish a positive rapport with all visitors and conduct periodic checks of the various gardens.

• A volunteer is needed to input volunteer hours into our computer system.

• Join us on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., as we sort through donated books for appropriateness then box these books and place them onto pallets.

• We need volunteers to help fundraise for a nonprofit in Houston.

• Please volunteer to become a victim advocate with our victim services programs here in the southeast Texas offices.
