Norris William Barry passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Houston, Texas. He was born June 1, 1931 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William D. Barry Jr. and Mina Norris Barry. He graduated from Cassia Hall Preparator­y School in Tulsa. Norris attended Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and graduated from the University of Tulsa with a BBA. He joined the U.S. Army and served at many posts including Argentina, Newfoundla­nd and ultimately attained the rank of Major. He was extremely proud of his military service.

Norris moved to Houston where he joined the firm of MLPF&S as an account executive. He remained with them for 32 years serving as a financial consultant to many. He married his wife Alice Evans, in 1959. He was a kind, generous, loving man to his wife and family, and he had many friends who will miss him and remember him. Norris was a Life Member of both The Tulsa Club and The Houston Club as well as Lakeside Country Club. He was a member of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church.

Norris was preceded in death by his son, Evans William Barry, his parents, brothers John M., William D, III, Joseph G., and sisters Mary Louise and Maxine Barry Staley.

Norris is survived by his beloved wife Alice and his dear son Joseph Robert, and brother David L. Barry of Tulsa, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with the recitation of the Rosary to commence at 7:00pm Earthman Hunters Creek Funeral Home. Rite of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Friday, August 21, 2015 at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.

The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Norris’ name to The Ronald McDonald House, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
