William “Bill” Drahuschak passed away at home with family on August 19, 2015 at the age of 64, from complicati­ons of renal cancer. He was born on January 15, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio, but lived in Houston for the last 34 years. He is survived by his wife, Mella, children Danielle (Bobby), A.J., Kate (John), Lyndsay, and Matt; 5 grandchild­ren; his sister Diana (Keith), 2 nieces; and numerous friends. Bill attended Bowling Green State University on a football scholarshi­p, where he was known as “The Monster Man.” He worked as a field landman for T.S. Dudley and a staff landman for Anadarko. He was also a retired teacher and coach, having taught in both Ohio and Texas. Bill was an avid tinkerer and loved to be outside in his backyard or garage. He was a self-taught chef and mixologist, who was always putting an original spin on recipes and drinks. Bill had a boisterous personalit­y and could instantly make anyone feel at ease. He loved to tease and to make people laugh. He took great pleasure in the warm relationsh­ips with his children and family and kept in frequent touch with many childhood friends around the country. He will be forever loved and missed. His memorial service will be at Brookside Funeral Home, 9149 Highway 6 North at 10 AM Saturday, August 22, with a reception following at the family’s home. Memorials are appreciate­d to the charity of your choice
