Loyce Garner Manahan, 69, of Houston, went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2015, in Houston, Texas.

Her memorial service will be held at Second Baptist Church (6400 Woodway) in Houston on Monday, August 24, 2015, at 6:00 p.m., immediatel­y followed by a reception.

Loyce was born in Omaha, Arkansas, to Aubrey and Lillie Garner. She grew up in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and graduated from Galena Park High School in Houston, Texas, in 1964. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston and a Master of Education degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Loyce is preceded in death by her parents Aubrey and Lillie; and her sisters Robin and Helen.

Loyce is survived by her sister Ann Kipp, identical twin Joyce (Bill) Chambers, and brother Cecil “Rocky” Garner; husband Bill Manahan; daughter Angie Manahan; son Alex (Rachel) Manahan; granddaugh­ter Rylee Manahan; and grandson Ethan Manahan.
