Castletree Homes to break ground for Benefit home in Miramesa

-

On July 9, Castletree Homes will officially break ground for the construction of a 2015 Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit Homes home. This is the GHBA’s 35-year-old annual fundraiser.

Castletree is building the home in Miramesa, a 600-acre Canyon Gate Community. Land Tejas Cos. donated the homesite.

Each year, two homes are built with donated materials, labor and services by GHBA members.

These homes are finished with topquality amenities and features. They are sold at market value and the majority of the proceeds go to three local charities. They are Texas Children’s Hospital, the Alzheimer’s Association and HomeAid Houston.

Since this fundraiser began 35 years ago, over $9 million has been raised.

Castletree Homes is one of several premier builders in Miramesa, a masterplanned community off West Rd. near U.S. 290 in Cypress.

“A Castletree Home is built on a simple philosophy,” said Todd Atwood, president of Castletree, “exceed the customer’s expectations through distinctive designs, extraordinary craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to customer service. We will be applying this philosophy to not only each home in Miramesa, but to the Benefit Home as well. Serving and giving back are part of our DNA, and we want our buyers to ‘Love Where you Live’.”

Castletree is constructing its 4540 D plan on a corner lot that backs up to a greebelt and will include a 6-foot iron fence and will include brick on all four sides. The home is two stories with four bedrooms, three baths and two half baths.

The open-style kitchen includes a Bertazzoni stainless-steel speed oven and microwave, a Bertazzoni range in a choice of stainless or five designer colors, a stainless Bosch ultra-quiet dishwasher, Benedettini maple cabinets and a builtin planning desk with built-in book shelves.

A second Benefit home has recently been completed. It was built by Perry Homes and is now open for visitors.

The home is located in the Beech Creek section of Bridgeland’s Hidden Creek section. Bridgeland’s developer, the Howard Hughes Corp., donated the homesite.

“HomeAid is proud to be one of three charities to benefit from the GHBA’s major fundraiser,” said Bette Moser, executive director of HomeAid Houston. “We are also grateful for the commitment by Castletree to participate in the project as they debut in Miramesa. It is a win for everyone.”
