Nicholas Clayton Day
Nicholas Clay was an Irish architect who moved to Galveston in 1872 and went on to design some of Texas’ most iconic buildings, including Sacred Heart Church in Palestine and St. Mary’s Cathedral in Austin. To mark Nicholas Clay Day, Galveston’s Bishop’s Palace will offer free admission all day.
