- By Tom Behrens Tom Behrens is a freelance writer

Domino’s stores throughout the Greater Houston area are celebrating their newly reimaged “pizza theaters” during National Pizza Month. Domino’s has two Katy locations: 5603 Highway Blvd. and 2331 N Fry Road.

Each store features the new pizza theater design which allows flexibility for a number of elements otherwise unheard of when it comes to the “traditional” Domino’s store. Highlights include a comfortable lobby, open-area viewing of the food preparation process and the ability to track carryout orders electronically on a lobby screen. The stores also feature chalkboards to allow customers to express their creativity or to leave feedback for the store team members.

“October is National Pizza Month and we couldn’t think of a better time to celebrate not only one, but nine Domino’s grand openings,” said Marc Richard, Domino’s director of corporate operations in Houston. “We’re very excited to bring the pizza theater image to even more local residents, as it makes ordering carryout an exciting experience, and is a better opportunity than ever before to interact with our pizza makers.”
