Jose Roberto “Beto” Oliva, 58, was born on September 7, 1957 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico & was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 27, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Beto graduated from Austin High School in 1976 & was employed at Sandvik Coromant for over 30 years. A loving Husband & Father, a role model & a selfless person. He was a proud provider for his family & an avid Houston Sports Fan. Beto was loved by many & will be missed by all. Preceded in death by his Sister, Maria Guadalupe Mejia. Survived by his Parents, Roberto & Maria Magdalena Oliva; Wife of 38 years, Martha I. Oliva; Daughter, Angie Garcia & husband Joe; Brothers, Victor & Jesse Oliva; Sisters, Maria Meza & Alicia Oliva-Taylor; Father & Mother in Law, Rogelio & Angelica Alaniz; numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, & God Children. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at St. Christophe­r Catholic Church (8150 Park Place Blvd.) with a Rosary being recited at 7pm and a Celebratio­n of Mass on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10am. Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Park East Cemetery.
