Costume contest set for Oct. 30

Whiskey River is home to a $2,000 costume contest during its Oct. 30 Pre Halloween Throwdown event starting at 8 p.m. with drink specials until 10 p.m.

The dance hall and saloon has been open since 2010 and was recently voted best Honky-Tonk by readers of Houston Press.
