FLORINE LEOLA KOVAR

“Flo” Florine Leola Kovar, 80, passed away peacefully on October 22nd, 2015 with her family at her side.

Born in Round Top Texas on July 23rd, 1935, to Herman and Stella Schulze.

“Flo” had four brothers, Kervin, Harley, Butch and Norman Schulze. All brothers except Norman have proceeded her in death.

“Flo” was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r, great grandmothe­r great great grandmothe­r, mother-in-law and friend.

“Flo” married her husband of 40 yrs, John Charles Kovar on January 14th, 1952.

John preceded her in death on May 14th, 1992. They had four children, Linda Romagus, John Jerome Kovar (Johnny), Karen Kay Nelius & Jerome Charles Kovar (Jerry). She had (9) grandchild­ren, (16) great grandchild­ren and (1) great great grand child. She was known to all as “Nanny”. Flo” worked for Spring Branch School district for over 25 years, and retired on May 15th, 2000. Always enjoyed her family at gatherings and loved to cook big meals for all. She loved to read, play bingo and going to casinos and gamble. She will be greatly missed and was loved by all.

Memorial services will be held October 29th, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Funeral home located at 13001 Katy Freeway, between 6pm-8pm.

Burial will follow on October 30th, 2015 at 10am.
