Nowitzki, Mavs rally to topple Celtics

BOSTON — Dirk Nowitzki scored 23 points, Wesley Matthews had 18 and the Dallas Mavericks erased an 18-point, first-half deficit to beat the Boston Celtics 106-102 on Wednesday night for their fifth straight victory.

Zaza Pachulia had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Mavericks. Deron Williams added 16 points, including consecutiv­e key baskets.

Isaiah Thomas led Boston with 19 points. Jared Sullinger had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Avery Bradley scored 18 points as the Celtics had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Dallas trailed 89-82 after Thomas’ jumper with just under 8 minutes to play before going on a 14-2 run over the ensuing 5:04.

THUNDER 110, PELICANS 103

Russell Westbrook had 43 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, and Oklahoma City recovered from a slow start to beat an injury-depleted New Orleans at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Enes Kanter added 24 points and 14 rebounds for the Thunder.

SPURS 109, NUGGETS 98

Tony Parker scored a season-high 25 points and San Antonio never trailed, beating Denver at the AT&T Center for their

sixth straight victory.

MAGIC 104, T-WOLVES 101

Evan Fournier scored 26 points and hit a 3-pointer with 3.1 seconds left in overtime to lift Orlando to a victory over Minnesota at Amway Center.

Elfrid Payton scored 24 points and had six assists for the Magic. Tobias Harris finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Andrew Wiggins led the Wolves with 28 points.

JAZZ 93, RAPTORS 89

Rodney Hood scored 16 points and Utah used a big fourth quarter to beat Toronto in Salt Lake City.

Paul George scored 34 points and C.J. Miles added 20 to lead Indiana to rout a winless Philadelph­ia on the road.

Nicolas Batum had 24 points and eight assists, and Charlotte beat Brooklyn at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Paul Millsap scored 23 points, including a running one-hander with 15.7 seconds remaining as the Atlanta Hawks held off the Sacramento Kings 103-97 Wednesday night.
