Moody Gardens presents Ice Land
This holiday season, those looking for an unforgettable icy adventure filled with surprises can find it all at Moody Gardens. Ice Land: Ice Sculptures with SpongeBob SquarePants returns for a second year — with exciting new ice sculptures and more ice than ever before.
Ice Land will feature more than 2 million pounds of ice and sculptures amidst Bikini Bottom landmarks. Chilled and held at 9 degrees Fahrenheit, guests can witness these works of art within a 28,000-square-foot insulated tent on the property.
As guests enter Ice Land, SpongeBob SquarePants will take them on a special holiday adventure through Bikini Bottom to encounter some of his favorite frosty pals along the way. Last year’s guest-favorite 100-foot ice slides will be back with an all-new sled race.
As the only holiday ice exhibition on the Gulf Coast, this holiday treat for the whole family will be open through Jan. 10 as Galveston makes its holiday transition into a Winter Wonder Island. Admission to the exhibit is $26.95 for adults, $21.95 for seniors and children. A Value Days discount of $5 is available Sunday through Thursday Nov. 15 to Dec. 17, excluding Thanksgiving Day.
Other holiday attractions at Moody Gardens include Festival of Lights, holiday films, ice skating, Arctic Ice Slide, holiday dinner and shows, a gift market, and the newly renovated four-diamond hotel. Also catch a Magical Christmas Dinner and Show starring master illusionist Curt Miller and Friends, with shows Dec. 17-27.
