The Cypress Falls volleyball team’s playoff run came to an end with a three-set loss to Seven Lakes in the regional quarterfinals last week.

The District 17-6A champions finished the season 37-7 overall.

“I’m extremely proud of how they performed this season,” coach Kathy Stephenson said in a release. “We captured the district title, which Cy Falls hadn’t done in quite a few years, and I’m really proud of how we did in the playoffs. We had a great group of young ladies who worked hard and achieved.”

Stephenson said the team has a bright future, too.

Outside hitter Yossi Pressley, and middle blockers Alyssa Deloney and Lola Alaka return for their senior season next year.

“We have a strong group coming back,” she said.

“We’ve had a pretty good run of being in the playoffs, and that’s a great statement for our athletes and our coaching staff. I am excited about what we’ve accomplished and what we hope to accomplish in the years to come.” Football playoffs
