Services for Dorine Prellop, 92, of Warda, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday, February 19, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. Family will be present for visitation Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Dorine Bamsch Prellop was born September 26, 1923 in Warda to Henry and Ernestine (Zoch) Bamsch. She and Erwin Prellop were married on May 31, 1942. They moved to Houston and joined Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She retired from Prudential Insurance and Houston ISD. In 1984, Dorine and Erwin moved back to Warda where they enjoyed their retirement by raising cattle and fishing. Dorine passed away the morning of Monday, February 15, 2016 at her home in Warda.

Dorine was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-six years, Erwin Prellop; parents, Henry & Ernestine Bamsch; brothers, Henry, Gustav, Walter and Milton; sister, Elsa Mitschke and grandson, Kevin Aschenbeck. She is survived by daughters, Barbara and Bob Kelly of New York and Clarice and George Aschenbeck of Houston; sisters, Louise Proske and Hermina Melcher both of Houston and her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Alaska Missions for Christ, Camp Lone Star or the charity of one’s choice.
