Let purge begin

If the HISD board is intent on cleansing the schools of unacceptable names they should consider Lamar High School.

Mirabeau B. Lamar, as president of the Republic of Texas ordered all American Indians removed from Texas, one way or another.

Many were killed fighting for their land. To add insult to injury, the Lamar High School mascot was the Redskins. This to me seems much worse than Sidney Lanier being drafted as a teenager into the Civil War.
