Bombardier to cut 10 percent of workforce

Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier says it plans to eliminate about 7,000 jobs — about 10 percent of its global workforce — over two years, even as it adds jobs in growing areas of its business.

The company said Wednesday the job cuts will include production and non-production employees, with 2,000 of the cuts being contractors.
