Parents begin run to remember their son, help others
The first Graeme’s Run will be Feb. 27 at Cane Island Amenities Village, 2100 Cane Island Parkway. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and the run starts at 10 a.m. The 3-mile run and 1-mile family walk will benefit The Childrenís Heart Foundation. Robby and Stephanie McDaniel started the event in memory of their son Graeme, above, who was born with complex congenital heart defects. Their web page in part reads “He spread love everywhere he went for the 2½ years that he spent with us. Now, we are keeping his memory alive by raising awareness and funding research to try and help other families who are dealing with CHD.” Visit www.graemesuperheroes.org for information.
