The homecare agency will offer a range of medical and nonmedical services to people of all ages, according to GlenGabardi, owner.

“When we take on a client, we consider the needs of the entire family. Whether it’s caring for an aging loved one or a child, we take a holistic approach to make the situation less overwhelming for the entire family,” Gabardi said in anews release.

The business will open with an initial staff of 10 certified nursing assistants and five licensed practical nurses to handle the caseload.

Miller brings a master’s degree and more than 20 years experience as a nursing professional to the new business. Board-certified pedia- trician Peter Y. Jung, M.D., F.A.A.P. of Houston’s Blue FishPediatrics has penned his first book, “What to Know Before Seeing Your Pediatrician.”

The book is a colorful illustrated guide that educates readers on common childhood illnesses to help reduce parental anxiety, prevent unnecessary visits to the doctor and save costs along the way.

“My goal for the book is to provide parents with a better understanding of what is going on in their child’s body,” said Jung. “By reading the book, I hope parents will feel more at ease the next time their child comes down with a fever or cough.”

The eight-chapter, 123page book covers a variety of topics, including germs, fever, vaccines, the common cold, ear infections, vomiting and diarrhea, and returning to school after sickness.

Jung’s writings are paired with colorful and informative illustrations by Becky Kim, making it a “picture book for parents,” according to Jung.

“What to Know Before Seeing Your Pediatrician,” is available in paperback for $12.50 and Kindle for $8.69.
