Boys basketball playoffs

Dickinson in charge: Thanks to a victory over Clear Creek last week, Dickinson clinched the first outright district title in school history. The Gators will take the No. 1 seed into the playoffs next week.

Elsewhere in 24-6A: Clear Creek had a leg up on the No. 2 seed and needed only to win on Tuesday against Clear Lake to get it. Clear Brook and Clear Springs also will advance to the playoffs.

South Houston slips: South Houston had a chance to win the District 22-6A title but lost to Dawson at home last week. The Trojans are still in a good spot as they will be the No. 2 seed for the postseason.
