Exhibitions and Kids’ Art Workshops
Rarely displayed world class artworks from private collectors at the Pearl in the current two exhibitions: The French Connection: Portraits from a Texas Collection. This exhibition showcases artworks by William Adolphe Bouguereau, John Singleton Copley, Sir Anthony Van Dyck and many more artists inspired by the French oil painters of the 18th and 19th centuries. Simultaneously shown is A Collector’s Passion, the first solo exhibition, in U.S.A. of Noel H. Leaver, (1889-1951), one of the most famous English watercolorists of early 20th century. This exhibition is from the Austin collector Carl Carter. Both exhibitions will end on May 14 2016. Register for our Junior Art Workshop after school art classes, ages 8-12. Art projects inspired by current exhibitions. Session Two classes begin April 4, 2016 and meet on Mondays from 4:30-5:45pm through May 9, 2016. Space limited to 16 participants.
