Veterans Memorial gets landscape facelift
Friendswood High School senior Scott Shannon will be honored May 30 for the landscaping makeover of Friendswood Veterans Memorial.
As part of his Eagle Scout project, Shannon solicited donations from individuals and businesses and enlisted the help of Scouts Brady Beeson, Christian Robinson and Mitchell Hsu for the refresh. Jay and Joann Horecky designed the new layout.
“The Friendswood Veterans Memorial is in such a prominent place and is the centerpiece for the Memorial Day event. Through my Eagle Scout project, I wanted to make sure that the area would look its best, to honor the men and women that have served in the military,” Shannon said. Friendswood paramedic wins award
