COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
THE BUCKINGHAM: An 82-year-old resident of The Buckingham, a Houston premier senior living community, is a role model and faithful example of volunteerism. Pat Deckert spends her time and energy reading to patients at Houston Methodist, greeting theatregoers at ADPlayers and preparing meals for children in need. Deckert works tirelessly to touch as many lives as possible in the Houston area, and is an inspiration to residents of The Buckingham. BRAZOS TOWERS AT BAYOU MANOR: “As we near the completion of our $70 million redevelopment,” said Mike Wallace of Brazos Towers at Bayou Manor, “the thing we hear most from residents and visitors alike is ‘wow!’” From the concierge desk to stunning chandeliers, the interiors are designed to invite and impress. “Everywhere our residents turn,” Wallace said, “there’s something new and unique to experience — they’re thrilled.” In the photo, elegant materials, beautiful furnishings and dramatic artwork create seating areas throughout the lobby. CLAREWOOD HOUSE: It was a beautiful day for Clarewood House residents as they took a Houston Artwork Tour via the county bus. The group saw great artwork pieces, learned about ordinances and had a great time together. The group visited the 60th floor of downtown’s Chase Tower, and Christ Church Cathedral (shown).
