- By Kim Moeller

As June is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month, take advantage of the farmers market at Bridgeland on June 12 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. The market is held year-round, rain or shine.

PEAS Farm will be presenting “Exploration Bee Hive.” Other highlights include a snake safety class by snake expert Clint Pustejovsky of Texas Snakes & More. The snake class begins at 1 p.m. and lasts about one hour with a question-and-answer session at the end.

Shoppers can find produce, grass-fed meats, homemade pasta and other artisan food items, as well as a variety of specialty goods like organic beauty products and all-natural cleaning supplies.

The market is near Bridgeland’s Lakeland Activity Center, 16902 Bridgeland Landing. Visit www. farmersmarketatbridgeland.org to see a list of participating vendors.
