Free event set at Pearl

Shakespeare in the Shade presents Shakespeare at the Pearl — a free performance at 6:15 p.m. on June 9 at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts.

The Tomball-based Shakespeare group that usually performs in Burroughs Park will celebrate the famous playwright.

They will perform vignettes from his works with ties to France.

Harris County Commissioner R. Jack Cagle is the theater company’s founder.

The troupe and the commissioner will speak at the event.

The museum is located at 6815 Cypresswood Drive in Spring.
