A&M is counting on seniors to keep leading the way in the super regional.

Texas A&M football and men’s basketball games will move this fall to Gow Media’s KFNC (97.5 FM) and KGOW (1560 AM), the companies said.

A&M games have most recently aired on iHeart Radio’s Houston stations, including KBME (790 AM), and KFNC has carried Texas Longhorns games for the last five years. The agreement between Gow Media and Learfield Sports, the rights holder for A&M athletics, runs through 2020-21.

“They are both great programs, and we have enjoyed carrying the Longhorns,” said Gow Media owner David Gow. “But, looking ahead, the passion of the Aggies and the opportunity to be part of their program is really compelling.”

Gow said 97.5 FM will carry all football and men’s basketball games. KGOW will air football games that do not conflict with Rice football games airing on that station.

Officials with IMG College, which owns Texas Longhorns broadcast rights, said the company is working to arrange a Houston radio affiliate for the 2016-17 season.
