Completion of Methodist West Hospital expansion expected by mid-2018

Five years after opening, Houston Methodist West Hospital, 18500 Katy Freeway, is expanding. The 228,000-square- foot project is expected to be complete in mid2018 and will add 95 patient rooms, totaling 288, 22 emergency rooms, totaling 50, and 10 operating rooms, totaling 25. Imaging services and the maternity unit will also be expanded. The expansion is expected to create 250 jobs. On the west side of campus, a second free parking garage with 867 parking spaces will be complete by mid-2017. Free valet services will continue to be offered at the main hospital entrance.
