Hiring event for vets and spouses planned June 16

A job fair for United States military veterans and their spouses will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 16 at Minute Maid Park, 501 Crawford St.

Hosted by RecruitMilitary, the Veteran Career Fair is a free hiring event for veterans, transitioning military personnel, U.S. National Guard members, Reserve members and spouses.

Attendees are invited to connect with employers that seeking to hire and retain talent.

RecruitMilitary has held 31 events in Houston, drawing 14,788 attendees and 1,778 exhibitors.

“RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment,” said President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson.

“Just last year, 56 percent of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair and employers were expected to extend as many as 38,700 interviews and more than 12,000 job offers.”
