Miss Mary Margaret Conlon Weds Dr. Maxwell Roger Mastroiann­i

Miss Conlon and Dr. Mastroiann­i were united in marriage on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 7 o’clock in the evening at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houston, TX. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Father Philip Lloyd, pastor of St Theresa Catholic Church in Houston. Scripture readings were done by Mrs. Toni Byrne, family friend of the groom, and Sister Jane Meyer, O.P., Head of School at St. Agnes Academy in Houston. Gift bearers were Paul Conlon, brother of the bride, and Joshua Sanders, the bride’s brother-in-law. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Parador in Houston. On the evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at El Tiempo Cantina on Navigation.

The bride is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Lee Conlon of Sugar Land. She is a granddaugh­ter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Raymond Thomas Moore of Austin and Edna, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John David Conlon of Houston.

The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Mastroiann­i of Cleveland, Ohio and a grandson of Mrs. Nancy Mastroiann­i and the late Mr. Anthony Mastroiann­i also of Cleveland, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dlugosz of Lorain, Ohio.

Given in marriage by her parents, and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory lace, fit to flare gown with a flounced tulle skirt by Hayley Paige. To complement her gown, the bride wore a cathedral length veil which had also been worn by 2 of her sisters at their weddings. The bride carried a hand tied bouquet of ivory peonies.

Serving their sister as matrons of honor were Catherine Conlon Sanders and Sarah Conlon, both of Houston. Maid of honor was the bride’s sister Julia Conlon, also of Houston. The groom’s sister, Mia Mastroiann­i, of Cleveland also served as a bridesmaid. Additional bridesmaid­s were Caitlin Chambers, Victoria Hinkle, and Devin Mrlik, all of Houston, as well as Carolyn Mantych of New York City, Paige Rotarius of Atlanta, Georgia, and Kelly Weeden of St. Louis, Missouri.

Junior bridesmaid was Lindsey Hill of Houston. Flower girl was the bride’s niece, Camilla Catherine Sanders, of Houston.

The best man was the groom’s brother, Samson Mastroiann­i of Cleveland, and groomsmen were Jeffrey Berlin, Michael Carson, Kevin Garven, and Thomas Edgehouse, all of Cleveland, and Andrew Hunt of Cincinnati, Ohio. The ring bearer was Jack Sanders, the bride’s nephew.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of St. Agnes Academy in Houston. She received a BA in communicat­ions with a minor in social work from St. Louis University in 2012, and a BSN with honors from St. Louis University in 2014. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. For the last 2 years, she has worked as an R.N. at Houston Methodist Sugar Land.

The groom is a 2008 graduate of St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, and a 2012 honors graduate of St. Louis University with a BS in investigat­ive and medical sciences. He is a member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. He is also a 2016 graduate of the Heritage School of Medicine of Ohio University.

Following their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Cleveland, Ohio. Max will be a first year resident in anesthesio­logy at University Hospitals, Case Medical Center, and Mimi will work there as an R.N. in the cardiac ICU.
