Charles Evelyn Richardson O’Brien - ( Sue ) passed on August 4th, 2016 to be with our lord. Born 91 years ago in Benton, Louisiana to Charles Richardson and his wife Evelyn Thomas. She lost both her father and sister weeks apart early in life due to tuberculosis and was raised as an only child. She grew up in Bossier City, Louisiana, a small town girl with deep roots in the local Baptist Church. She met Captain William Ross O’Brien, an ACE Fighter pilot during WW11 and also an only child. They married on December 27, 1946 and headed to Tulsa where William O’Brien went to school on the GI-Bill and earned his degree as a geophysicist. They were part of the greatest generation.

Sue always wanted a large family and this was her life’s focus. She raised four children Sharon , Terry, Mark and Bill. Her house was full of children and full of life. Sue made friends easily which came in handy as Standard Oil was always moving the O’Brien’s. She would find a smile and reach out her hand and say...”.I’m Sue O’Brien from Bossier City. “After finding a house for us, she would find a church and our circle of friends would grow.

Sue and O’Bee were married for 60 years before his death March 2006. She was an active and long time member of Tallowood Baptist Church.
