Inartful or ominous speak?

Regarding “Trump suggests gun owners could stop Clinton” (Page A1, Wednesday), I am not a Donald Trump supporter, but I doubt if he publicly hinted for legally registered gun owners to harm Hillary Clinton.

But the operative word here is “doubt,” and that’s the problem with Trump. We both speak English; we are from the same Western culture, the same country and about the same age. Yet, there is always doubt.
