Since the 1970s, Jerry Douglas has proven one of the top players of the dobro, picking and sliding on thousands of albums by other artists as well as his own and, since the late-’90s, as a member of Alison Krauss and Union Station. Flux, as he’s known, is a fine composer and a mind-blowing instrumentalist who is taking a break from a seemingly endless recording schedule for a tour that brings him to town Thursday.
