Tailgate event fetes summer

The Katy Summer Tailgate event will once again fill the streets of historic Katy on Aug. 13 from 6-10 p.m. in Harvest Plaza.

There will be a Fun Zone for children, vendor booths, a row of restaurants and a street dance to live music. Entry fee is a bag full of school supplies or a backpack. All donations, monetary or school supplies, will benefit the YMCA’s Operation Backpack program. This program helps to ensure that many of Katy’s children start school with all of the essentials they need to kick off a successful school year.

Harvest Plaza is located at 5701 Third St. in Katy.
