Citizens can join police academy

Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman invites interested citizens of Harris County to participate in the Harris County Sheriff ’s Office’s upcoming Citizen’s Police Academy that begins Aug. 18.

The classes will be at 19449 Katy Freeway in Houston at Second Baptist Church every Thursday from 7-10 p.m.

The Citizens Police Academy is a once-a-week, 13-week program, ending Nov. 10.
