Texas Tenors to kick off season at The Grand 1894 Opera House
The Grand 1894 Opera House will feature The Texas Tenors in Concert at 3 and at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10.
Audience members for both shows will be a part of a live taping for the group’s second PBS special to be launched in conjunction with “Rise,” the new Texas Tenor CD.

Since their debut six years ago on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” Marcus Collins, John Hagen and JC Fisher have accumulated a list of awards and accolades. They were recently named the #10 Classical Artist in the world according to Billboard.
The Texas Tenors entertain fans with a musical blend of country, classical, Broadway and current pop, delivered with a combination of humor, cowboy charm and vocal fireworks.

Country star Phil Vassar will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at The Grand 1894 Opera House, 2020 Postoffice St., Galveston, to benefit Gulf Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters and Bowl for Kids’ Sake.
Vassar has 26 Top 40 hits and his songs include “Carlene,” “American Child” and “Six Pack Summer.”

“Movies in the Park,” sponsored by the Friendswood Rotary Club and the Friendswood Parks and Recreation Department, will feature “Courageous” at dusk on Aug. 12.
