Karate Kid’ leads August lineup

Alamo Drafthouse presents “The Karate Kid,” every day at 11:30 a.m. from Aug. 12-17, as part of its Kids Camp screenings. Tickets are “pick your price,” from $1 to $3, with proceeds donated to local nonprofits and schools.

“The Karate Kid” is the story of a young Daniel transplanted in California from New Jersey, who learns how to defend himself against bullies by the wise and patient Mr. Miyagi, a gardener who instructs him in the martial art of karate.
