New anti-Trump letter: More than 75 Republicans have signed a letter urging Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus to spend the party’s money on helping secure the Republican majority in the Senate, not on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. The letter — whose signers include former congressmen, former members of President George W. Bush’s Cabinet and former RNC staff members — said Trump’s campaign will have a “catastrophic impact” on down-ballot races. Former Trump worker files suit: A former paid worker for Donald Trump’s presidential bid has accused the campaign’s North Carolina state director of pointing a loaded pistol at him. Vincent Bordini filed a civil lawsuit Wednesday in a North Carolina court against the Trump campaign and recent state director Earl L. Phillip. Support for Garland: Hillary Clinton would revive Judge Merrick Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court if she is elected president, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday.
