JAMES “JIMMY” KEELE

1960-2016

James “Jimmy” Keele passed away on August 8, 2016 at the age of 56. Jimmy was born in Abilene, TX and later moved to Houston, TX where he attended Westbury High School. He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Agriculture. Jimmy joined the Harris County Sheriff ’s Office with academy class B4 1988. He retired in October 2015 after serving 28 years with the department working in various units from the jail, traffic investigations, to a division he deeply enjoyed, livestock; where he rescued and worked with animals.

Left to carry on his memory are his wife, Marlene Keele and children: Berri Walker and her husband Matt; son, Justin Mellen and wife Ashley; parents: James and Sally Keele; sister, Connie Keele and nephews: Justin and Bryce Dishongh; 4 grandchildren: Elli Walker, Presley, Kaidence and Adilynn Mellen; aunts and uncles: L.D. and Ann Self, Ken and Diane Bergquist, Drew and Becky Johnson; along with many other relatives who are dear to him.

The funeral service will be held at 2PM on Friday, August 12th in the Grand Chapel, with the interment immediately following.
