What a glorious, fulfilling life Charles has had with the special times he spent with his Annie, sons and daughter and enjoying Scouts, Texas Tech Football, Texas Wesleyan Basketball, and Texas A&M activities. Charles had a 31 year career with Humble Oil, later Exxon/Mobil and still kept in touch with many co-workers around the country. He had memberships innumerous oil related entities and always was recognized for his integrity, “where the rubber meets the road” - a favorite saying of his. Being born on his birthday, he and Dyan always celebrated their special day together. His five grandchildren were always a delight to their Papa.

His most memorable times were spent mentoring young people, at both Sam Houston State University and Texas A&M University, still hearing from so many great young people. Charles enjoyed all aspects of Bearkat Football, being a Bearkat Partner, member of Kat Pat, the Bearkat Champion Partners, and traveling with this exciting team, getting to know many members personally and their families. He supported all Sam Houston Athletics and afforded educational opportunities for young people through several Endowments, especially enjoying the Agriculture Science students.
