Bolt won’t do 200 in final season

-

The world’s fastest man is slowing down.

Usain Bolt again said he does not plan to run the 200 meters in his final season, realizing that his world record of 19.19 seconds is likely beyond him.

Speaking in Monaco before picking up the IAAF’s male athlete-of-the-year award for a sixth time, Bolt, 30, said he thought he could dip under the 19-second barrier at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. But coming off the bend in the final, he felt his legs didn’t have a record-beating performance in them.

“After last season, I kind of figured out that no matter how hard I work at this point, it probably is going to be hard to get the 200-meter world record,” Bolt said. “And it’s a lot more work and for me, coming to the end of my career, I’m not trying to do too much work.”

Bolt also ruled out a return for the 2020 Tokyo Games. district attorney’s office announced the deal after prosecutors filed it with the court. Manziel was not present.

Manziel, who turns 24 on Tuesday, was charged with the misdemeanor after ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley accused him of kidnapping, beating and threatening to kill her during a night out, claiming the abuse ruptured her eardrum and left her deaf in one ear.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the judge in the case still has to sign off on the agreement, and it will be Manziel’s responsibility to find the counseling or treatment.

Manziel, a free agent who has not signed with a team since the Browns cut him in March, served a four-game suspension this season for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy. He remains under review of the league’s domestic policy, which still could include a six-game suspension.
