Raymond Hance Martin, born on October 24, 1942, in Baytown, Texas, passed away suddenly at his home in Georgetown, Texas, on February 10, 2017, at the age of 74. He is predecease­d by his parents, Mary Brunson and John Raymond Martin, and is survived by his wife Patsy of 54 years, and his daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Jeff Katz. Other survivors include his brother Dr. Matthew Martin and family; Mrs. Kathryn Jeter and family, and a special cousin, Mrs. Sandra Ferguson Smith. A graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and a distinguis­hed alumni of Lee College, Raymond received both a bachelor’s of Architectu­re and a master’s in Regional Planning and Urban Developmen­t from the University of Texas at Austin. During this time, he was a member and an officer of Alpha Rho Chi fraternity and the architectu­ral honor society Sphinx. From 1968-1985 he was employed by CRS, one of the largest architectu­re and engineerin­g firms in the nation, and oversaw both national and internatio­nal projects. During his time at the firm, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He later consulted for House Reh Architectu­re and Ambrose, McEnany and House. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 18, beginning at 1:00 pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas, 78633. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm, and burial will follow immediatel­y thereafter. A reception will be held at 111 Durango Trail, Georgetown, Texas, 78633, following the internment.
