Lillard’s 49 points lift Blazers past Heat

MIAMI — Damian Lillard scored a seasonhigh 49 points, 28 of them coming after halftime, and the Portland Trail Blazers continued their playoff push by beating the Miami Heat 115-104 on Sunday night.

Lillard tied a career high with nine 3-pointers, giving him 1,002 for his career.

The Heat (34-36) missed a chance to reach .500 for the first time this season and fell to 7-17 this season when Dion Waiters isn’t in the lineup (sprained ankle).

Pau Gasol scored 22 points as host San Antonio rolled to a victory over Sacramento, snapping a two-game skid.

PARSONS OUT FOR SEASON

Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons, 28, will undergo surgery Monday to repair a partial tear of the medial meniscus in his left knee and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
