Rockets (48-22) update: They won both games at Denver this season, including Saturday’s 109-105 victory, after getting swept by the Nuggets last season. … The Rockets are 71 3-pointers shy of Golden State’s singleseas­on NBA record but made a season-low five 3-pointers on a season-low 24 attempts against the Nuggets on Saturday. … Rockets guard James Harden had a tripledoub­le in all four Rockets games last week — the longest streak of his career and the second-longest in the NBA since the 1989-90 season. … Harden’s 786 assists are a franchise record with 12 games left. … Guard Pat Beverley has made only 21.4 percent of his shots in his last six games, averaging 6.3 points, after averaging 11.3 points on 45.8 percent shooting in the previous 10 games. … Guards Eric Gordon and Lou Williams have combined to make 44 of 113 shots (38.9 percent) in the last five games. Nuggets (33-36) update: Their loss to the Rockets at Denver on Saturday snapped a four-game winning streak. … Guard Jameer Nelson had 15 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists Saturday — his fifth career game reaching those numbers. … Guard Gary Harris has averaged 18.3 points on 49 percent shooting in his last four games. … Center Nikola Jokic’s five triple-doubles, in a span of 18 games, trail only Russell Westbrook, James Harden and LeBron James this season. He was limited to 22 minutes by foul trouble Saturday but had 16 points, five rebounds and four assists. … Forwards Wilson Chandler (groin) and Danilo Gallinari (knee) have been upgraded to questionab­le. Both were out Saturday night. Forward/center Darrell Arthur (knee) is out. Statistica­lly speaking: 7 — Number of 40-point tripledoub­les for James Harden this season — two more than the next-most in a season in NBA history.
