Roger Pipkins, 53, of Houston, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 22 in Zavalla, Texas. He was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan in 1963 and lived there as a child until his family moved to Southeast Missouri. He attended school in Gideon, Missouri and graduated from Gideon High School in 1981, immediatel­y moving to Texas to make Houston his home. He attended Southern Bible College in Houston. He enjoyed playing basketball and softball, and loved to watch football and basketball with family and friends. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans, and enjoyed playing fantasy football.

Roger is survived by his loving companion of 10 years, Stacilyn Bridges; his daughter Jessica Robinson, her husband Jaaziah and their three children; his son, Justin Pipkins; his mother, Carline Pipkins; his brother, Mark Pipkins and his wife Janet; his brother Kevin Pipkins and his wife Kim; his brother Jim Pipkins; his brother David Pipkins and wife Cindy; his sister, Laura Pontiff and her husband Raymond; his sister Beverly Paris; his brother, John Pipkins and his wife Jylynn; 17 nieces and nephews; 20 great-nieces and greatnephe­ws. He is preceded in death by his father, James Pipkins, Sr. and his niece, Kristin Paris.

A memorial service will be held Saturday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and funeral services will be Sunday, at 3:00 p.m., both at Triumph Church, 1407 Highway 69, Nederland, Texas. Interment will immediatel­y follow. Flowers may be sent to GrammierOb­erle Funeral Home.
