Toby Williams, 85, of Houston passed away on March 29, 2017. He was born on October 16, 1931 to B.H. and Marguerite Williams in Vivian, Louisiana where he experience­d an idyllic childhood, which he forever cherished. In high school, Toby was a talented musician and was named first chair coronet for the All State Band. He attended Louisiana State University where he obtained a degree in Chemical Engineerin­g. During this time he was a proud member of Sigma Chi, serving as President, and as a Life Loyal Sig the balance of his years. After graduation, he served two years in the United States Army, and met his future wife while stationed in Richmond, VA. Upon discharge from the military, he embarked on a 35-year career in petroleum exploratio­n. He worked for several major oil companies, including Mobil and Conoco, and was fortunate to travel the world doing a job he loved. Toby also enjoyed tending to his property, fishing, watching LSU Tiger football games, walking his beloved dogs and spending time with his family.

Toby is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Gail Lucius Williams; son Mark Williams and wife Shun Hua of Dallas; daughter Laura MilazzoHer­bert and husband John of Houston; son Keith Williams and wife Maesa of Katy; son Patrick Williams and wife Anna of New Braunfels; and five grandchild­ren, Andrew Milazzo, Alec Milazzo, Christophe­r Williams, Lauren Williams and Hailey Williams.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Clare Bridge Memory Care Unit at Brookdale Willowbroo­k Place for their kindness and support during the time he lived there.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, April 3, 2017 Klein Memorial Park-2920 in Tomball, Texas.
