13th annual Head for the Hills Bicycle Ride hosted by the Washington County Rotary Club begins Saturday morning at the Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department on FM1155. Each of the courses of 26, 43 and 62 miles offers a challenging barrage of hills with elevations ranging from 1,375 to 3,385 feet. The event is billed as a ride, not a race, and raises funds for a variety of nonprofit organizations. The Chappell Hill VFD will offer a hamburger cookout after the ride to raise funds.
