KELLY FREDERICK CORDRAY

1983-2017

-

Kelly Cordray was born in Webster, December 4th 1983 to Kenny and Patricia Cordray and departed this world much too soon on May 21st 2017, at the age of 33.

Kelly was a deep and complex man, both immensely proud of his professional work and his family. At an early age, he could be found tinkering with all manner of electronics and playing video games with his older brother, Coleman. He showed an affinity towards computers that would later blossom into a professional passion and his own successful business. If he wasn’t taking apart the VCR, he was learning music – first with the guitar, then onto the saxophone. Kelly was extremely creative, and loved making music, he could often be found in the studio alongside his father, Kenny, assisting and collaborating on music from all genres.

Much like his father Kenny, Kelly was always available to help a friend or family member in need. Kelly enjoyed working along side his mother Pat, and aunt Debbie at Maas Nursery. Kelly greatly enjoyed spending time with his sister, Julia and her husband Ryan, and he cherished his niece, Linden. Kelly loved to laugh at the absurd and whimsical and had the perfect punchline for any occasion. His love and laughter will be sorely missed.

In recent years, Kelly was heavily involved in the Clear Lake chapter of Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, winning Rookie of the Year for his work in 2013. Kelly enjoyed sharing his life with the members of his support group and could help others with his unique perspective and sense of humor.

Kelly is survived by his mother Patricia Cordray, brother Coleman Cordray, sister Julia Cruse, brother-inlaw Ryan Cruse, niece Linden Cruse, niece-to-be Stella and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

The service celebrating Kelly’s life will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Niday Funeral Home – Beamer Chapel.
