NEW YORK — Ronald Torreyes hit a game-winning single with two outs in the 10th inning after midnight, and New York edged Texas 2-1 on a rainy Friday night for just its second win in 10 games. Yu Darvish and Masahiro Tanaka kept it scoreless into the late innings in the first major league meeting between the Japanese stars.

MARLINS 2, CUBS 0: Giancarlo Stanton hit his 19th home run, Jose Urena scattered five hits over six innings, and Miami shut out visiting Chicago.

RED SOX 9, ANGELS 4: Hanley Ramirez and Sandy Leon hit two-run homers as Boston beat visiting Los Angeles. It was the 250th career home run for Ramirez.

NATIONALS 6, REDS 5: Bryce Harper singled in the winning run in the 10th, Brian Goodwin homered twice and Washington beat visiting Cincinnati.

DODGERS 6, ROCKIES 1: Yasiel Puig homered and lefthander Alex Wood kept his record perfect as streaking Los Angeles defeated visiting Colorado for its eighth consecutiv­e win.

PHILLIES 6, D-BACKS 1: Mark Leiter Jr. held Arizona to three hits over six innings, and Maikel Franco and Tommy Joseph homered in Philadelph­ia’s win over the host D-Backs.

RAYS 15, ORIOLES 5: Evan Longoria and Shane Peterson drove in four runs apiece to back the pitching of Chris Archer and lead surging Tampa Bay to a victory over visiting Baltimore.

TWINS 5, INDIANS 0: Ad alberto Mejia combined with three relievers on a four-hitter, leading Minnesota to a win at Cleveland.

PADRES 1, TIGERS 0: Luis Perdomo pitched two-hit ball over six innings, Austin Hedges had an RBI double, and San Diego handed visiting Detroit its seventh straight loss.

PIRATES 4, CARDINALS 3: Josh Bell and John Jaso homered as visiting Pittsburgh broke its Busch Stadium hex with a victory at St. Louis.

BRAVES 5, BREWERS 4: Mike Foltynewic­z won his fourth straight decision at home as Atlanta beat visiting Milwaukee for its sixth win in seven games.

ROYALS 5, BLUE JAYS 4: Whit Merrifield hit a two-run, two-out double that capped a four-run ninth, and Kansas City beat visiting Toronto to reach .500 for the first time since April.

ATHLETICS 3, WHITE SOX 0: Khris Davis and Matt Joyce homered and Jharel Cotton pitched three-hit ball into the sixth before leaving as Oakland won at Chicago.
