SEABROOK - Mr. John Harris Reitmeyer passed from this life Sunday morning, June 25, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 4, 1960 in Texas City, John had been a resident of Seabrook for the last year, previously of Montgomery, League City, Santa Fe and Hitchcock. John attended the University of Houston in Clear Lake before beginning his career as a medical supplies salesman for the McKesson Corporatio­n, working for them for 25 years. He coached little league sports, encouragin­g the kids to always have fun, enjoyed playing competitiv­e sports, golfing, cooking, watching college football (especially Texas A&M) was an avid Texans and Astros fan and always enjoyed a good laugh.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Tacquard “Bill” Reitmeyer, Jr., sister and brother-in-law, Julie and John Hillman and nephew, Joseph Hillman.

Survivors include his loving wife of 7 years, Norma Reitmeyer; mother, Julie Reitmeyer of Hitchcock; son, Brooks Harris Reitmeyer of Santa Fe; daughters, Leslie (Reitmeyer) Reese and husband, Alan of Tomball, Madison Bunde of Hitchcock, Morgan McWhirter and husband, Dean of Santa Fe; brothers, W.T. “Bill” Reitmeyer, III and wife, Kay of Santa Fe, Albert Reitmeyer and wife, Sharon of Galveston, Wayne Reitmeyer and wife, Debbie of Hitchcock; grandchild, Jensen Alan Reese; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Clear Creek Community Church, with Reverend Greg Poore officiatin­g. A private cremation will be conducted by Hayes Funeral Home.

Pallbearer­s will be Tim Martin, Albert Reitmeyer, Bill Reitmeyer, III, Brooks Reitmeyer, Wayne Reitmeyer and George Sampson.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 9253501.
