Regarding “Racial disparitie­s remain on nation’s roads” (Page A11, Monday), columnist Esther J. Cepeda discusses two problems: people of color being disproport­ionately targeted for traffic stops, and most having negative experience­s with police when stopped. These issues are frequently raised; however, I never see the other side deliberate­d. Are people of color pulled over because of their color or because they are committing traffic violations?
